My First SourcedBox by Marcus Butler and Niomi Smart! ♡ Impressions + Honest Review of the February Edition ♡

February 19, 2016

New year, new fitness goals! <3 This year, there are a few things which I would like to change. I have been really proud of myself for staying active and eating clean in 2015 but this year, my schedule at university has been crazy and I find myself snacking a lot more in between meals and classes. While munching on a muffin or chocolate chip cookie once in a while is totally fine, I find myself doing that way too often, especially with the limited choices of snacks my uni sells on campus.
When I saw that two of my favourite YouTubers Niomi Smart and Marcus Butler are launching their own business, SourcedBox – a monthly healthy food subscription box, I thought that would be a great way for me to try out new healthy snacks and to be able to snack in between classes in a healthy way! ♡

I signed up for the February box after reading and watching a couple reviews of the January box, which I was very impressed with, and after waiting impatiently for a couple of weeks, my first ever SourcedBox finally arrived on the first Saturday of February! <3 I had the urge to rip the box open then and there because I was soooo excited but I contained myself and took some nice photos before opening my box a little too enthusiastically 😛

As you can see, there is a “Menu” in the box telling you about all the items inside which is a really nice touch and is useful for those with certain dietary requirements 🙂 This month, the Cacao Balls written on the menu seem to have had some delivery problems so there is an extra note in the box saying that those will be delivered in next month’s box instead and in the meantime we get a replacement snack. I wasn’t really too bothered by this because I know every start-up business is still learning in the first stage of their new project and I am happy as long as I get my cacao balls next month! ♡

And here comes what’s inside the box! ♡

First off, the box is literally PACKED FULL. I don’t think they could have fitted any more things inside the box and I am really impressed by the amount of snacks I got 🙂

The following items are included in this February box ♡
1♡ Salted Caramel Nibbles from NAKD
2♡ Cacao Brownie from Squirrel Sisters
3♡ Original Granola from Dust Granola
4♡ Seaveg Crispies from Clearspring
5♡ Dino Paws from BEAR
6♡ Matcha Powder Super Green Tea from Teapigs
7♡ Salted Maple Popcorn from NOM
8♡ Essential Orange Chocolate Bar from Conscious Chocolate
9♡ Organic Blueberry Bar from Beond
10♡ Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar Roasters from Dilly & Wolf
11♡ Goji & Coconut Vegan Balls from The Protein Ball Co.

I love that we were given a total of 11 snacks in the box, which is pretty impressive 🙂 By now, I have tasted everything (to be completely honest – I have finished 99% of the snacks HA!)  and I have to say there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like in the box 🙂 My absolute favourite thing out of this month’s box would have to be the Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar Roasters ♡ They are absolutely divine and I finished the entire thing in one sitting although it was NOT a small box of roasters at all (I tried controlling myself – it did not work haha!) 😀 I definitely also really enjoyed the Dust Granola and the Goji and Coconut balls <3
Price-wise, this is where things get a littleee bit iffy for me. There are two types of subscription you can choose from for now. The first type is a monthly subscription costing £18.95 per month (including shipping) which you can cancel anytime. The other option is an annual subscription where you get 12 boxes for £189.95 (including shipping), which equates to around £15.83 per month but you obviously are committing to an entire year of subscription. There is also a new option coming soon which is a one-off box and it costs £21.95 (including shipping). This means that your subscription won’t be renewed by SourcedBox every month and you are literally only getting one box and that’s it!
Since £18.95 isn’t exactly cheap for a healthy snack subscription box, I wanted to see whether I was actually getting my money’s worth and so I searched up all the individual snacks on their own to see how much they would have cost me if I were to have bought them all myself. The total amount was just a tiny bit over £18.95. That being said, I don’t think the box is exactly a good deal if your main aim is to get healthy snacks at a discounted price and I am not entirely sure if I would pay for a one-off box since it might potentially be cheaper if I get the snacks myself!

Personally for me, I wanted to get SourcedBox so that I can try out new healthy snacks which I have never heard of before. I also wanted something convenient every month in the sense that I can just take one of the snacks in the box to school with me if I know I will be having a long day so I won’t end up snacking on unhealthy food. SourcedBox definitely served that purpose well for me and I really like the box for that ♡ I am really happy and impressed that they stuffed the box full of goodies but I do wish that the box is a littleeee bit better for value. I should probably take into account that not all the snacks in the box can be purchased in stores easily and that IF the Cacao Balls were in fact delivered, they would probably have increased the value of the box 🙂

The verdict is – I think I am going to renew my subscription for at least another month or two as I have really enjoyed my first SourcedBox experience! 🙂 If I see a decrease in value for their boxes in the future, I might consider unsubscribing, but so far so good! I am really looking forward to next month’s box and please let me know if you have heard of SourcedBox and whether you are interested in trying it! ♡

While you seem to get a lot in the box you're right saying its not the cheapest option, you could probably find everything separately for cheaper!

I've heard a lot about this box and I really like the idea as I always snack on unhealthy things! However, I think I'd rather go to somewhere like Whole Foods or As Nature Intended and pick out my own snacks as I wouldn't be sure I'd like all the snacks in the box!! Great review!
    Have a lovely day 🙂

Yes that definitely makes sense! I was a bit worried that I won't enjoy some of the snacks but thankfully I enjoyed all of them! It is always a good idea to just get the snacks we know we already like though! <3

All casino sites (like all poker sites, let's face it) need your bank card and your cash. They provide free spins or deposit bonus codes to get you on their platform after which have you ever play as much as attainable. The Return to Player is a share of all of the wagered cash that a slot pays 솔 카지노 again to its gamers.
