Life of a Law Student: Third Year Dinner at the Inner Temple ♡

February 27, 2016

Time is flying by superrrr fast and I cannot believe that in a few months’ time, I will officially be an LLB Law Graduate! Quite a daunting thought to say the least, but there are definitely benefits coming with the “3rd Year Law Student” title. Yesterday, my classmates and I attended our university’s 3rd Year Law Dinner which was so much fun and the perfect excuse for all of us to dress up and escape the horrendous amount of reading and essays we had to do, even if it was just for the night ♡

The dinner took place at the very fancy schmancy Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. I remember having welcoming drinks at the same venue three years ago when we were all about to start our course and university life. A lot have changed since then but definitely not my love for the beautiful interior of the Inner Temple 🙂 Very Harry Potter-ish and this is definitely the closest thing we get to Oxbridge-style High Table dining ♡
We were treated very nicely with welcoming drinks and nibbles during the pre-dinner; we then slowly made our way into the main dining room when dinner officially began.
Before dinner started, our law department invited one of our alumni for a special speech. Frankly, I was too busy thinking about the food to focus on what he was saying but I did take something away from his speech at the end when he said “From now on, you will find that time starts to accelerate quickly. Don’t waste it. Make mistakes. Carpe diem. Seize the day.” It was only then that I realised these three years of law school have flown by so quickly and although the thought of graduating and entering into the real world is scary, I do know that we are all in this together and no matter what we end up doing, I am sure we will all achieve great things 🙂
And…. Dinner was served! More wine, Tart Tatin for the starter, and Chicken and Risotto for the main 🙂 The food was delicious and my classmates and I started diving into an endless talk about life recently, our plans for the future, etc. ♡

And then it was time for dessert – the Queen of Puddings with Raspberry Sauce ♡ By then I felt that my dress was able to burst because I was so full from all the food! I tried my best to finish my dessert anyway!
After dessert, my friends and I made our way around the main dining room and took a bazillion pictures because everyone was dressed up so nicely and the venue was beautiful ♡ We also took countless selfies at the most amazing bathroom ever (there is a sofa in there!) and definitely did not realise it was already 11pm when dinner ended. As much as I wanted to stay for a bit longer, I was ready to go home and to get some rest <3
Dress: ASOS
Book Clutch: Kate Spade
Shoes: Miu Miu
And that concluded my 3rd Year Law Dinner! An amazing experience for sure and definitely a great memory to add to my law student life ♡

The key element that makes this type of education more unique is that this type of education paper help is typically bolstered and supported outside the ordinary class structure.
