Earlier this year, we did one of the most exciting things we’ve done in a while – throwing a surprise bridal shower for one of our best friends, Alice! Alice is a friend I know from high school and we’ve been through it all together – English classes in school, Justin Bieber concert, uni in London…you name it! 😝
Alice got married to her wonderful husband Kyle a little while ago but because of COVID, she didn’t get to have a wedding or any kind of big celebration with friends. So when Alice’s little sister Olivia asked us (7 of her closest childhood and school friends – Bonny, Karen, Stephanie, Charlotte, Candy, Edith and me!) to help plan a surprise bridal shower for her, we all jumped at the chance! 💖
Finding a venue during COVID times is so tricky, but Stephanie let us throw the bridal shower at her insanely gorgeous home and our venue was set! The plan was to tell Alice to meet a few of us there for dinner on a Saturday evening, and when she arrived she would be surprised by all of us and lotsssss of pink balloons! 😍🎊
We all got to Stephanie’s home in the afternoon to start decorating and prepping. Olivia and I were on table setting and decor duty, Edith and Candy got all the balloons, Steph was our head chef for the night (she is the most amazing chef and NEEDS to have her own restaurant soon!!!) and Charlotte was her sous-chef haha, Bonny and Karen planned all the games and we were running around getting everything ready before Alice arrived.
Bonny gave us little pieces of papers for us to write advice and messages for the happy couple, which was the cutest idea! 💗
And here comes our bride-to-be! 💕 She had absolutely no idea until she saw Bonny’s car parked outside Stephanie’s home and got super confused 😂 The surprise was a huge success! 😆💖
Time to pop the champagne woop woop! 😍
Stephanie prepared and cooked all the food for the night and the food was absolutely INSANEEEE 😭💗 She made loads of starters, miso black cod, tuna rice with caviar, Korean fried chicken with a caviar dipping sauce and a bunch of other crazy delicious stuff that just went straight down to my tummy 😝
