Summer Book Haul! ♡

June 1, 2014

Yesterday while shopping with my friends at Oxford Street, we happened to pass by Waterstones and we all decided to head in and find some new reads for the Summer 🙂 As usual, Waterstones was having really good discounts on their fictions (buy one get one half price!) and I picked up 5 different books from the store ♡
A Game of Thrones – George R.R. Martin ♡
I know I know… I am SO LATE on this series! I have heard way too many good things about these books but I just did not have the time to pick them up and read them because of my exams. Now that it is summertime I can’t wait to read the books myself! For those who have read all the books in the series so far – what do you guys think?! Do the books get worse and worse throughout the series or are they all as good as the first book? 🙂
Requiem – Lauren Oliver ♡
This is the third book of the Delirium trilogy, which is another dystopian series similar to the Hunger Games and Divergent books. I read the first 2 books of the trilogy last summer but never really picked up the 3rd book. For some reason I just did not have the urge to read the books one after one immediately for this series unlike the Hunger Games and the Divergent books which I was absolutely crazy about. I saw this book in the buy one and get one half price section and thought I might as well read the last book! I will do a little book review on this book after I have finished reading it and maybe give my opinions on the trilogy as a whole! ♡
You’re The One that I want – Giovanna Fletcher ♡
I saw this book in the buy one get one half price section and thought this would a perfect beach/ bubble-bath book to read while relaxing in the summer ♡ The description of the book at the back basically describes a girl choosing between two guys who are best friends. I am guessing that this is a typical fun relaxing Summer read and I can imagine myself sipping on lemonade while reading this in the sun 🙂
Thirteen Weddings – Paige Toon ♡
This again is another fun beach book that I picked up ♡ The description ‘Always the photographer, never the bride’ of the book reminds me a bit of the movie 27 Dresses which is one of my favourite chick flicks so I thought this might be another girly and relaxing book to read 🙂
The Body Book – Cameron Diaz with Sandra Bark ♡
Lastly, I picked up the Body Book when I saw that it was £4 off the original price in Waterstones. I have again heard good thing about this book which is written by Cameron Diaz and the book basically gives a lot of information and knowledge on nutrition, exercising, and having a healthy mind. Since I have been really into fitness and getting fit and healthy lately this is just the book I need! I have read a couple of chapters so far and am really enjoying the book itself and the way it is written. I will definitely do a more in depth review on this book once I have finished reading it! ♡
If you guys have any more suggestions of great books I should read for the summer please tell me about them! I can’t wait to read all these books and book reviews will be coming soon!

I would be interested to hear about the body book! I have picked it up a couple times but always debate whether to buy 🙂

I have nearly finished the 'nutrition' section of the book and I think it is pretty informative so far and I am enjoying it! 🙂 The only thing is that the book doesn't really give any meal ideas and instead just tells you what food is good and why it is important. Still a good book though! (at least for the first part I have read) 🙂 I will probably do a book review on it once I have finished reading the whole book <3
