♡ The Ultimate Valentine’s Day Beauty Guide! My picks from Too Faced, Chanel, YSL etc. ♡

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I am BEYOND excited! ♡ I know a lot of people are not that fussed about this hyped-up holiday but I really don’t think Valentine’s Day is just for lovebirds – as a matter of fact, my girlfriends and I went to a Justin Bieber party last night to have a good time together and to celebrate the holiday of love haha! 😛 So whether you are going out for a special date or just a fun night out with friends, here are some of my favourite products and beauty essentials which will give you a super pretty and glowy look on Valentine’s Day ♡

For Beautiful and Rosy Cheeks…
I recommend the Benefit Sugarbomb blush which has just the right amount of shimmer and pigmentation to give off that super pretty pinky corally look. For a more dramatic cheek colour, the Milani baked blush in Corallina is a gorgeous red/ coral with a little more shimmer, and is perfect for a night out ♡ A safe and romantic choice would be the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Rose, where the shades in the compact blend together to give the most perfect pink flush to your cheeks.

For Defined Cheekbones and a Glowy Complexion…
The Rosie for Autograph Starstruck Contour Stick and the Starstruck Highlighter Stick are my go to products because they are superrr smooth, very pigmented, really easy to blend, and are just perfect for any occasion ♡ The Sleek Highlighting palette will also suit any type of complexion because there are three beautiful cream highlighters as well as a gold/bronzy powder. This palette is my second most reached for highlighting product at the moment after the Rosie Starstruck Highlighter and is really good for value in my opinion <3

For Bright and Sparkly Eyes…
The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette is definitely my favourite eye palette right now 🙂 The eyeshadows are all really pigmented, the neutral colours are beautiful, and you get a good mix of shimmery and non-shimmery shadows. There are also two pops of colours in there which is perfect for fun looks and yet are still subtle and classy 🙂 Oh and the best thing about the palette is for sure the scent 😛 Having eyeshadows that smell like chocolate definitely helps get me into that Valentine’s Day mood ♡

The Lip Colour for:
A classic romantic evening: The Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté in Red Muse is my go-to red lipstick. It is a really flattering true red colour and what I reach for on most special occasions 🙂 I have been using this red lipstick for a long time and nothing really compares <3 It is so intense and so pigmented that I only ever reapply it if I eat; if I don’t, it is not going anywhere 😀

A Girls’ Night Out!: The Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Candy is a really intense and bright fuschia colour and is perfect for any night out with your girlfriends! This is way too bright for me to wear as an everyday lip colour but I love wearing this when I am going out with friends <3 Guarantee you will get lots of compliments! ♡

Cute and Classy in a different way: The Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick no. 52 is a really bright rosy coral in the tube but when applied gently gives off the prettiest coral/ orangy colour and completes a classy makeup look perfectly ♡ I was obsessed with this lipstick when it first got really popular back in the days because of the Korean TV show “He Who Came from the Stars”. I still love this lipstick to death and wear it on days when I want to feel extra special 🙂

Natural looking kissable lips: For this I have to go with my Clinique Chubby Stick in Mighty Mimosa ♡ Chances are – guys won’t be glad to have BRIGHT RED AND FUSCHIA lipstick all over them on a date so a more natural lip colour would be perfect for Valentine’s Day if your guy is not into intense colours <3 I love this Clinique Chubby stick because it is really moisturising as well and will not dry out your lips 🙂

The Sophisticated and Chic look: I love the Rosie for Autograph lipstick in Lady Rose, a semi-matte dusty rose lipstick for a sophisticated look and I think this would be perfect for any occasion – whether you are going out with your girlfriends, or having a cute date with your loved one ♡ This lipstick applies so smoothly, stays on even after I ate, and the colour is so so pretty <3

For Glam and Pretty Nails…
I am pretty sure I wore pink nail polish on Valentine’s Day every year because it is such an iconic V-day colour and looks really natural at the same time. The Chanel Le Vernis in May has been my favourite pink nail polish for as long as I can remember because it is just the right shade of pink for me (not too pastel or cool-toned) and the formula is so smooth and easy to apply. I only need two coats of this max and I am good to go for more than a week <3

Another colour which would be really nice for Valentine’s Day is a wine red, especially if you are wearing a darker colour outfit and for this I chose the Chanel Le Vernis in Suspicious. I love this colour because it is again so easy to apply (you only need one or two coats) and the slightly purple undertone in it makes it not as dark as most other wine reds out there ♡

For my last Valentine’s Day nail polish pick I decided to go for something a little more glam and I chose the Dior Diorific Nail Polish in Gold 🙂 It is a beautiful champagne gold colour and would look pretty on any skin tone. Wearing gold nail polish is a little different from the typical red and pinks but it can definitely glam up your whole Valentine’s Day look and is perfect if you don’t want to go with the same old colours 🙂
